Jobs Description Core Accountabilities Assist in the maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical systems and equipment within the power plant, including turbines, generators, pumps, conveyors, compressors, and related components. Collaborate with the Supervisor to perform routine inspections and tests on mechanical equipment to identify potential issues, deviations, or safety hazards. Assist in troubleshooting mechanical systems and equipment to diagnose malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner. Support the Supervisor in conducting preventive maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, cleaning, and adjustment of mechanical components, to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan. Participate in the installation, repair, and replacement of mechanical equipment and components, adhering to safety guidelines, mechanical codes, and manufacturer specifications. Assist in the calibration and testing of mechanical instruments and equipment to ensure accurate measurements and reliable operation. Comply with safety regulations, mechanical codes, and company policies in all power plant operations, maintenance activities, and work processes. Support the Supervisor in coordinating and prioritizing maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal disruption to power generation and plant operations. Collaborate with other team members, including operators, technicians, and engineers, to effectively communicate and address mechanical issues and requirements. Stay updated with advancements in mechanical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
